It was only after she worked at ahospital that it became clear to Nancy what her professional path should be. She realized she could make a difference in the lives of people who struggled with a language barrier, lack of meaningful access to care, minimal health literacy, and many of the psychosocial issues so pervasive in minority communities.
Nancy has invested many years of hard work to reduce health disparities through promoting patient-centered care, health equity, and cultural competency.
"Éxito! has provided [me] incredible confidence to: research programs. inquire about programs - to be critical about choosing the right program and mentors," Nancy said.
